Sans - Souci the Performance
UNI-Arts creator, Sanford Placide presented "Sans-Souci" in conjunction with the Consulate General of Haiti. The performance tells the story of King Henry of Haiti who, having been born a slave, rose to prominence of the once prosperous Caribbean island. He was eventually abandoned by his subjects and close friends and was overtook by illness and depression. He ended his life by committing suicide. Ruins of the Sans-Souci palace can still be seen on the island of Haiti.
